Another Ho Hum Moment
Oct. 29th, 2012 06:45 pmDespite being full of cold and feeling pretty lousy, I did my volunteering at the radio station this morning, and then just half an hour at the Office. There is a bug going round which I have seemed to have caught, and I also have a bugbear that means dumping a monthly club till warmer days again.
Meanwhile, two books through using my Play Trade funds arrived. Both quite cheap , a book on the poetry of Keats and the classic John Le Carre novel “A Small Town In Germany”. Cousin said they arrived Saturday.

Bexhill was a revelation as far as what I could have bought from charity shops and second hand record shops, but I needed to keep some of my meagre money for some visits I doing on Wednesday, including a Cineworld visit, and a double hit on a charity shop all in Ashford.
Also, only got a tenner each for my gig with my Finnish mate (on Friday night), but like he said, the money may be crap but you can drink as much as you want, and on the night you get free food. I took advantage of both, because in concurring with him, twenty quid in total was abysmal. The other plus though, is that you can play whatever you like, or whatever takes your fancy.
Well, now it is back to listening to Radio 4 or Radio 4 extra, and some good telly this evening.
This made my blood boil. Under true socialism this would not happen.
