Mashing It Up Stylee
Dec. 29th, 2012 08:14 pmAmongst the windswept blowy climes of an East Kent sky I ventured forth to the city of Canterbury, stopping at Faversham along the way, on a voyage of musical discovery or recovery.
Picked up a fine selection of music, for around a quid a CD from various charity shops, including a really fine album by that most elusive of free agents from the avant garde music circle, Jim O'Rourke., and one CD from that strange southern Tex Mex mélange that Calexico brews up.
Anyway the whole list is -
Jim O'Rourke – Halfway To A Threeway (Domino)

Calexico – Hot Rail (City Slang)

Ray Lamontangne – Trouble (Echo)

Pulp – We Love Life (Island)

Black Eyed Peas – Elephunk (A&M)

Bizet – Carmen ,Andre Cluytens (EMI Classics 2 x CD)

A good mix of styles indeed.
