Films and Food
Jan. 25th, 2013 11:32 pmRemember when the newspapers use to give away free DVD's in cardboard sleeves to increase circulation, and that the majority of the newspapers seemed to be doing this tactic such as the Mail, Guardian and Independent. Well, I have a collection of these and have been watching a few of them over the last few days.
I have watched The Whistle Blower (starring Michael Caine), The Machinist, The Assassination of Richard Nixon, Nobel Son, and the Mike Leigh film, High Hopes. Over the weekend I will probably watch Closely Observed Trains and Lord Of The Flies
Today was the usual fortnightly visit to Sittingbourne followed by an hour at the Office, and then walked back home working up an appetite for lunch. As it is Burns Night we had haggis, mashed potatoes and veg. Unfortunately had no whisky to go with it. Despite that, it was tasty and filling
Talking of food, the burger challenge at the Dover Castle Inn made the local newspaper this week plus on You Tube two presenters from KMFM trying to take the challenge. Both failed.
