The Maidstone Misalignment
Feb. 1st, 2013 10:35 amIt is official, my elder brother has retire as from yesterday. This will give him more time to pursue his hobbies or interests , such as ornithology.Other activitries will include tasting fine single malts, real ale, beer festivals, visiting remote distilleries, home baking (budding Paul Hollywood!), reading a backlog of some 30 books, listening to Rachmaninov (the 1st Piano Concerto played by Krystian Zimerman and quite superb) and using his free bus pass. (He told me to put these additions in!)
Yesterday I visited Maidstone, and picked up some CD's for fifty pence each, including one by Bjork.
They are -
Bjork – Vespertine

Air – Moon Safari

Finley Quaye – Maverick A Strike

Liberty X - Thinking It Over

The latter was a guilty secret choice.
From Oxfam picked up a hardback , “The Oxford Library of Words And Phrases , Word Origins” for 99 pence.
Ran out of time to get to the Office which will be remedied today.
Watched some more Big Bang Theory form the fourth series ot he show//
