The Deal Deviation
May. 25th, 2013 05:11 pmThe last few days have been miserable. Thank goodness we had some sunshine today So taking a judicious chance on the good weather I ventured over to Canterbury and Deal.
I popped into HMV at Canterbury to exchange a book that my cousin got for me as i had the book already, "Electric Eden" by Rob Young. With receipt i exchanged it for a George Orwell book "Down And Out In Paris and London" (Penguin Modern Classics).

Afterwards, I caught a bus over tio Deal to do a mystery shop., Whilst in Deal awaiting the return bus .I perused some charity shops and picked up three hardback novels for 99 pence!
Jeff Noon - Nymphomation (Doubleday)
Tom Rachman - The Imperfectionists (Quercus)
Charles Cumming - The Trinity Six (Harper Collins)

I took with the novel "Sacrilege" by S J Parris to read as it is mostly based in Canterbury during the Tudor times of Queen Elizabeth I.
