I don't often dream but when I do they tend to be weird ones. Take last night. I was in a seraglio with seraphic maidens cavorting to the cacophonous rock sound that was Black Sabbath and their “Paranoid” track, and David Lynch in his director's chair shouting at me. That is all I remember from it, and what it means is anyone's guess.
Before heading off to the Office this morning I popped into Past Sentence to sell a few unwanted paperbacks. From another shop I picked up a Bill Bryson paperback , “Lost Continent” ,which is about his travels around the USA looking for small town life, for the princely sum of 20 pence.
I am still reading the Umberto Eco book, having got stuck somewhere in the middle, but wil endeavour to complete before the end of next week.
Last night I watched a DVD I bought for 50 pence from Cex in Sittigbourne. “Cocoon” is a film from the eighties, but I have never watched it in full despite it being on the telly quite often. I seemed to always catch it at the wrong time. Having said that, it is a wonderful good feel science fiction movie that made me smile, and now I am glad to have watched it without interruptions.
