Morning Time

Well, despite it being colder, it is a crisp sunny day, and I shall be nipping over to Faversham a bit later this morning. I have gained a new LJ reader , Rose from Ghana, whom seems to be quite a fun lass.



I didn't get round to watching the Manchurian Candidate DVD last night, so i might do that tonight.

Had breakfast, and although i fancied smoked mackerel , i ended up having this beef and rice dish to warm me up. Well it is only 7 degrees C outside today.

Lassus

A CD arrived in the post this morning, one which i bought from Amazon at a very cheap price, after reading a chapter in Seb Hunter's book "Rock Me Amadeus" .



Lassus was a Dutch composer of the late Renaissance and was one of the most influential composers in the 16th century.  This is a recording of the great penitential cycle of spiritual madrigals, the 'Lagrime di San Pietro' (1594).

Ars Nova is a Danish vocal ensemble group focusing on Renaissance and contemporary music, including works by John Cage and Terry Riley.

East Coast Line

Just watched that documentary programme on the East Coast Line which runs from Kings Cross to Edinburgh and Aberdeen on Sky One. Very funny in places , and i would love to be a mystery shopper doing covert journeys on it. That would be so cool. Choo choo!

Cup Upsets

Cup upset time again as lowly Brackley Town FC overcame League team Gillingham last night by scraping a well deserved 1 - 0 victory. The FA Cup continues to surprise and thrill. I wonder what upset might occur in the next round
