The Quick Death of A Fine Establishment

The Dover Castle Inn has gone to the dogs. The new people do not have a clue on how to run a pub. They have pissed off regulars and the food service has become atrocious. Not only that, they have the temerity to slag off the former owners, the ones whom built the trade up in the pub to what it was over the last 19 years. Staff are leaving in droves and their hours been cut to minimal. They even had to cancel sittings tonight due to customers voting with their feet. .

It will not last long in this parlous state. Sad indeed.

Sublime Frequencies

Been listening to the compilation "Sublime Frequencies Support Finders Keepers" (Finders Keepers Records) - it is one of those great forages into strange funky grooves from across the world. It is a limited edition CD that came out some time after the warehouse fire that destroyed most of the labels' stock.

I also listened to the Damien Rice album again. It has become one of my favourite folk influenced albums

Tomorrow two Iceland  shop visits, one in Ashford and the other in Dover.
