Dull Day?

After such a lovely Sunday it is back to that dull miserable light that pervades. Perhaps it will brighten up. Either way, I am off to Sittingbourne today for a spell at the Office, and then onto Strood to do a mystery shop. I might even do the Rochester cinema visit today.

Listened to some of the Cairo Road CD last night after catching up with some television such as Mastermind, Sleepy Hollow and The Tomorrow People.

Back in the Office, to print out a couple of visits and to do other things besides,  Picked up four CDs for 25 pence each from the Demelza charity shop, including the two i definitely wanted -

Air "Moon Safari"  and Michael Nyman "The Piano (OST)" , the other two by Jamelia and Gwen Stefani can be used as donation  material for my next covert visits.

Tonight Brighton are at home playing Premiership team Hull City. I wish them all the luck as i think they might need it, and if they do get through,  have a visit to Sunderland. This is the team that Gus Poyet now commands after leaving, in less than convivial circumstances,  the managership of Brighton Somehow fate might seal this grudge match if they get past Hull.

Today at the Cineworld in Rochester , that is the Strood side, I watched the animated film "Pr Peabody and Sherman"

The film features Mr. Peabody, a talking dog who is the smartest being in the world, and his adopted boy Sherman. On his first day of school, Sherman comes into conflict with another classmate, Penny Peterson. The adoption agency informs Peabody that they will reclaim Sherman if any more incidents occur. To complicate this issue, Peabody invites the Petersons over to break the ice. After Sherman's misuse of their time traveling WABAC machine to impress her has disastrous and comical results, it is up to them to put things on track before the space-time continuum is irreparably destroyed.

I really enjoyed it.

From the Enneaus charity shop, which is just around the corner from Rochester train station , i found two more James Taylor Quartet Cd's for a quid each - "New World (Real Self Records) and "The Oscillator" (Rootdown Records). More funky jazzy grooves from this top notch band.
