Now Where Is It?

It is strange that sometimes you know you have something but just cannot find it , a case in point is a CD I sold on Discogs, a Mercury Rev album, the standard version, not the special edition one that i do have for keeping rather than selling. I have a few days before i have to post said album , so in the meantime, i shall look out for it in chazzers, and if push comes to shove, send the buyer my special edition copy.

The fact that i haven't played the album for ages may just push me in the direction of sending the special edition one.

Not Such Good News

Whilst out in Faversham to sell some books , which i received a fiver for, and getting some sub quid books, I had some bad news relayed to me via the mobile.

My wife, whom i am separated from, only by distance and economic reasons (which i will not go into) has called me from hospital to say that she has had a stroke.  I was stupefied at first.  Naturally, i am very concerned, as the love is still there, and i immediately contacted my brother, whom was contacted by the hospital. It is a mild one,by all accounts. I will have to make arrangements to get down to Brighton at some point, maybe next weekend. For now she is resting and being taken care of , and luckily she has the ability to speak, so perhaps in a way, this is a warning.

Everything else pales into insignificance when something likes this happens.

Oh, and i did find that CD in the end, so that plus two others and an LP will be going to a buyer in Brazil next week.

Then Later On ...

Just ten minutes ago i had a call from Raquel, a friend of Lorna, who said she will pop over to the hospital tomorrow. I had sent a direct message to her from her Facebook page, as i did not have her telephone number.

As it is, I am much calmer than i was , and at the moment there is little i can do. Getting on  with life and keeping busy is the way forward till i visit next weekend..

Meanwhile, i am listening to a CD i bought back in Rochester from a charity shop, by the James Taylor Quartet ,called "New Worlds".

The books i bough today for a quid or under are -






I think, by reading i can keep my mind occupied, and not dwell on the situation too much.
