A rather late entry but that is due not arriving back home till nine in the evening, putting two reports online and then promptly fell asleep with laptop in hand. I done my three visist to Tonbridge ending up with a meal and drinks at Wetherspoons.

As it was a Wednesday i had the peri peri half roast chicken with chips, washed down with a Hendricks Gin & Tonic and a can of the Sixpoint Bengali Tiger ale.

Picked up two books and a DVD from my charity shop visit

The DVD is "Hope Springs" - it looked interesting.

I haven't heard back from the interview midday , so i doubt i was chosen. Oh well, c'est la vie!

Feeling dog tired now. Time for a sleep again.

I had a bit of a lie in this morning.I then left home about eleven to go over to Faversham and sell some paperbacks.

Flowing on from my thought of the day with the "Look Up" video i went without phone and tablet, so that i was totally disconnected from the web, and actually got speaking to another gent whilst waiting for the train to the next town.  Sometimes it is good just to disconnect.

I received four quid for most of the paperbacks i took and used the proceeds to buy some food items for a healthy salad for both of us. That is, iceberg lettuce, sweetcorn, chorizo, coleslaw, and a couple of slices of turkey ham. Together with some tomatoes it made a very delicious salad.

It has been raining most of the day, so apart from one pint of beer in Spoons to break up the monotony of the  day, That was all i did.

So , for now, i am listening to the Oscar Peterson CD, will do some reading, and watch more from series one of the Channel 4 comedy,Black Books.

The morning music post will resume tomorrow.

Nabbed this from [livejournal.com profile] a_phoenixdragon as i thought it was also thought provoking , amusing and i really wanted to throw missiles at the presenter / researcher who i found quite obnoxious. We should all be vigilant against big companies wanting to control the net and create a tiered system to benefit the greedy big organisations mentioned in this pile of bullshit.  No guys, the internet should be open and free to all who use it , otherwise innovation and creativity will be starved.

I hope that everyone who uses the net for whatever purpose should watch this thirty minute video and be aghast of what these multinationals might try to squeeze through.
