Ah Now I Know But It Still Does Not Help
Jul. 9th, 2014 10:30 amWell, contacted accounts at this company, but i am still not happy and powerless to do anything about it. As that TK Maxx job was a research job, not mystery shopping, it takes longer to process and okay it for paying. It just so happens that it had missed this month's pay run and hence i will not be able to get it til the next pay run end of this month.
If there is one silver lining, it will mean a much larger pay for August, as i did a double shift of counting footfall in Canterbury for them.
This means that jobs i was going to do on Thursday will now have to be deferred to another day, most likely next Wednesday morning.
But right now i am skint, and feeling quite depressed.

Jazz CD Find
Jul. 9th, 2014 07:20 pmSomething did cheer me up today. Whilst in Sittingbourne i popped into the Demelza charity shop and found a Stan Getz CD , a double CD no less, for 25 pence. Quality music indeed!

I wonder if
poliphilo has been to Sittingbourne yet? Should be on Tony's list of places to visit.
For now, i am going to listen to this album and read a book. Multitasking.

Frederick C, Crews "Postmodern Pooh" (Profile Books)

Anyone who has had to slog through pomo lit crit, hoping against hope that the author has a point other than how bright they are, will love this wickedly funny book. As an adjunct to his Pooh Perplex some years back, this is a perfect example of how mushy some criticism has become. Clever, witty and knowing.
