Just watched the DVD of The Mothman Prophecies starring Richard Gere from 2001, based on a true story. Terrific film, well acted, and a bit scary too! The legendary creature of the Mothman was first reported about in the Point Pleasant area of West Virginia from 15 November 1966 to 15th December 1967.This was related to the collapse of the Silver Bridge that spanned the Ohio from the town  that same year on Dec. 15th.

The film is based on these sightings and the collapse of the bridge. Whether you belive it or not that such a supernatural event could prophesise such disasters, it makes a good story.

I had a sleep for an hour between 8 pm and 10 pm so i do not feel tired to watch a DVD so late!

A much wetter day than previoulsy , with dark clouds and torrential rain when i left the house this morning. It is not so bad now but the forecast is still for inclement weather ahead. At least today i only have one charity shop to do in Sittingbourne where i am at the moment. enscomced at the Office.

I have been humming the opening of Carl Orff's Carmina Burana (O Fortuna) all day for no particular reason. Strange how suddenly certian pieces of music can get lodged in your brain and stay there.  What music, dear readers, do you sometimes hum along to in your interior monologue when doing something?

The morning was sodden with rain but the weather had cleared up by the afternoon and it was quite sunny. Hence i did my mystery shop at one of these charity shops in Sittingbourne. I bought three DVD#s for five pounds and all films that i have seen before but wanted to watch again.

These are -

The Golden Compass
An American Werewolf In London
The Piano

I then zipped over to Faversham to have few beers at the Leading Light pub. Both were craft beers from the States, the Colornado Mermaid's Red Ale (5.7% ABV) from California, and because it was on special offer today, a bottle of Goose Island IPA from Chicago. Two excellent tasty ales.
