jazzy_daveWell after a few weks of doldrums finally bought something great and funky. The Albert Ayler "ESP-Disk Complete Recordings" a 4CD box of all his ESP recordings from Resident for under £25. A lovely set which will complement the Holy Ghost Massive box set from last year.
First thing i did this Sunday morning was a quick visit to the Station boot sale and bought 3 LP's - first off "Maria Elena" The 50 Guitars of Tommy Garrett (Sunset1963) for 50pence, "Portuguese Fados" by Herminia Silva,Maria Clara and Max (Capitol) for £2 and Gary Bartz Ntu Troop "Juju Street Songs" (Prestige 1974) for £3.
The last one was a real find. Great jazz at a snip!
Exchanged some old stuff for two new ones from Across the Tracks.I got Susan brokesch "Emerald Stars" (Chicks On Speed CD 2005) and "10% File Under Buroughs" (Sub Rosa double CD).
Well that's it for now. Still got to list my favourite buys of 2005.
