Reading an e-book on a tablet is very different to reading a "normal" book, being less of a physical object, and that it does not have the smell of a book. One thing in favour of an e-book is that highlighted text, and hyperlinks, leads to other avenues. I found this out by accident in reading the Buffy e-book. The bifurcations can be quite fascinating.

Lunch Club Day
Jun. 25th, 2015 09:07 amTraveling with Phil today to Brighton for the monthly lunch club. Weather looks good so i expect we will have a good journey down - although i hope i don't jinx it by saying so. I usually stay in Sussex afterwards for a few days, but not on this occasion. I still have four jobs to do with one company, and as yet still awaiting their money for me to complete said visits. Hence , after the lunch i will be traveling back with Phil.
We will meet up with Mike and Graeme at the Evening star for a pint before we walk down to cafe Rouge.
It should be a pleasant time.

Brighton Lunch Club
Jun. 25th, 2015 08:03 pmArrived back from Brighton twenty minutes ago. Phil dropped me off near Costcutters as i had run out if coffee.
The journey down to Brighton was smooth and uneventful. We arrived quite early with twenty minutes to spare before we met the ads at the Evening star pub. Phil wanted to visit the Hobgoblin music store. We had a good look around as he wanted a new pedal for his keyboards.

This is a fascinating location for any muso. I love this instrument.

They even had some Marshall amps and i wondered if the dial went to 11 as in Spinal Tap.

We then met up at the Evening Star. The lads had the session ale Hophead, Phil had a Dark Star original, and i had the strong Victorian Ruby Mild (6.o % ABV).

The list of bottle beers available always seems to amaze me. Here is just a sample. Note the incredibly expensive one on the list.

We arrived at Cafe Rouge quite early before our booked time so we decided to have another beer at the Mesmerist opposite.

The strong smell of mint at the bar was invigorating. They use it for the mojitos. We decided by then to have a half sice soon we would need to get our table at Cafe Rouge. Mike, Graeme and i had the fillet steak, Phil had the rump steak and Lesley had an omelet. mike and I tucked into the cheese board afterward.
Once we all had our fill we departed and went our separate ways. I walked through the Lanes with Phil and he bought his pedal for the keyboard at GAK in the North Laines back to the station car park.

Walking through Brighton Square in the Lanes.

Walking through the North Laines.
I also took a pic of another junction box that had recently been painted.

In the end it was a very enjoyable day. I must have dozed off quite quickly on the journey back to Kent.
