Sometimes catching up with friends' posts can take a god half a day. Thank goodness i am not in a rush today but spent most of this morning just commenting on others. This gif snagged from [livejournal.com profile] crazybellatrix sums it up neatly.

Careful John, Sherlock will not be happy if you drop the laptop!

I popped into Sittingbourne for a covert shop in 'Spoons and as it was steak day i ham a succulent sirloin steak with chips, peas and mushroom , washed down with a beer and a craft ale called 13 Guns.

Then over in Faversham i bought some paperbacks from the remaindered bookshop that will finally close this weekend , sad to say. A snip at twenty pence each.

To possess the world in the form of images is, precisely, to re experience the unreality and remoteness of the real.

WEAR RED - Stand up and Be counted
Our take on the rubbish being spun by the Tory media about Corbyn's bow..

Of course the Scum and other rags singularly failed to mention the fact that whilst the rest the political leaders went off to a free swanky VIP reception, (where they no doubt congratulated themselves on how patriotic they were) Jeremy Corbyn stayed behind and actually spoke to veterans - you know the people who the whole day is supposed to be about?

What many might not know is that returning veterans from both WW1 and 2 were the catayst for the largest social improvements of the 20th Century - They had paid in blood and there was no way they were going to accept the old unequal order continuing as it had...

The fact that today a bunch of wealthy elitist right wing politicians (who are hell bent on destroying as much of the social compact as possible) are using their memories and sacrifice make cheap political capital at the expense of a man who is trying to prevent the slide back to the old inequality in the country would no doubt utterly horrify many of them.

It's not Corbyn who's a disgrace here and showing no respect to the fallen's memory - It's the Tories and their media supporters who think it's fine to cloak themselves in trivial displays of pomp whilst at the same time ignoring the very real plight of thousands of living veterans suffering under Osborne's Austerity Programme...

...it's a right wing government who is happy to sell off the country our service men and women fought and died for piecemeal to the highest foreign coporate bidder...

These things matter - the angle of your bow means the grand sum of sweet FA.

Disgusting!
