Just finished watching Season 3 of True Blood - wow! just seems to get better and better. So, Sookie is a fey (also spelled as fae) or a fey hybrid.  The Canadian seires , Lost Girl , also introduced the mythical creaters known as Fae. Anhyhow, i look forward to Season 4.

A sunny day so far , if a bit cold, and two visits in Paddock Wood and in Tunbridge Wells today. Picked up another cafe visit in a supermarket locally in Sittingbourne as well. Posted a couple more items off from Discogs sales. It all helps.

Received two more Xmas cards today , one from a company i work for based in Sussex (thanks Peter) , and one from [livejournal.com profile] itsjustc.

Better go now. Busy day ahead.

A strange kind of day not helped by the fact that my first visit today to a charity shop in Paddock Wood found it to be closed due to lack of staff. It had a notice to say that they would not be open on Tuesdays and Thursdays due to lack of staff - but hey - this is Wednesday - so why were they close today.

So , after a bit of disgruntlement , i continued onto Tunbridge Wells to do my visit in Tunbridge Wells which went smoothly. Lumix was working well enough for the fascia pic of the shop i visited, but , now again, it is playing up.

So , here are some recent pics i took.

A selfie in Seaford.

Keith Topping "Slayer: The Totally Cool Unofficial Guide to Buffy" (Virgin Publishing)

There is a lot of information in this book- each episode from the first three series gets a review about four pages long. It briefly covers the plot and gives an edited cast list.

As well as that we also get the authors own opinions on the shows- which are usually very positive, but at other times can be quite critical.

There are lots of detailed descriptions of what the characters wear, and random quotes from the show. I can't understand the significance of these- after all, if you watch the show you will notice- if you havn't watched the show then it won't make sense.

And the "references" to other films etc seem very desperate - occasional it is so obvious that they are referring to another show, such as "Scooby Doo." Why does Topping feel the need to point that out?
Overall it is packed full of mildly interesting information with surprisingly little actual criticism or commentary on any given episode.

There are better Buffy related books around.
