Cousin keeps dropping bombshells. The last campaign frizzled out and hence i have rejigged the campaign to reflect the situation we face and the inflexibility of the council , even knowing that he is on sickness benefit. Here is that campaign.

"My cousin is now on sickness benefit due to his torn ligament in his leg. This is only £80 a week and is not enough to cver all the bills , food and energy , and other things. Also, the council is being unflexible about the debt of council tax owed, and are threatening bailiffs if they do not receive what is owed or a substantiall part of it before Xmas. His next payment for sickness benefit is not due till 24th December. These are very desparate times and as i live with him it effects me as well.

I know that alot of you may also feel the squeeze and some may have money to spare, Whatever your situation and whoever you are, i will be very appreciative of all monies recieved. I hope to achieve this target quickly and hence i need you to share it around.

Our Xmas could be a very worrying time otherwise.

Thank you for reading.

Dug out the old Sony Walkman mp3 player and been listening to some of the soul music I loaded up on it including a classic Chi-Lites album "A Lonely Man".

The Chi-Lites - A Lonely Man

This was recorded way back in the seventies and it still sounds fresh. There is also a great version of Marvin Gaye's "What's Goin' On". Then there is this awesome track-

The Coldest Days Of My Life.

Still on a Star Trek theme here is a great montage of trekkie references from The Big Bang Theory.

Enjoy.

I have written about this meditative composer before and yet he still amazes me what he does with tape lops. This piece from 2013 is 42 minute long and never gets boring. An exquisite piece of ambient music.

William Basinski - Vivian and Ondine

This is definitely one of Basinski's darkest pieces. It is just so pensive, contemplative and cavernous. It's gaze is set on darkness, as if you are listening to the entirety of history stretch and warp through time. I don't know how he does it, but he makes the simplest loop of music transcend repetition, it just takes you off somewhere else. Meditative and beautiful. His music seems to speak to that part of all us, the human condition. A timeless composer.
