Here is that Jimmy Page version which Kenneth Anger rejected.

Jimmy Page first composed his original score for Kenneth Anger's film 'Lucifer Rising' at his (then) residence, Boleskine House, in November 1973. The 24-minute piece was rejected by Anger and very soon achieved legendary status, with many poor quality vinyl bootlegs emerging during the rest of the decade and beyond.

In 1987, Page's 'Lucifer Rising' soundtrack was released in 12-inch, blue vinyl format in a limited edition of 1000 numbered copies -- apparently without either Page or Anger being consulted. The release was accompanied by a publicity flyer which attributed the project to "Boleskine House Records" under the supervision of one "Frater Zardoz", aka: Chris Dietler, a member of the O.T.O. who (despite claiming to have permission/authorisation to launch the project) was subsequently expelled from the Crowley-based organization for his unauthorised actions.

In 2006, the original soundtracks to Kenneth Anger's films were released in remastered form on a CD entitled: 'Anger Rising'. The CD contained the full, unedited, uninterrupted original version of Page's 'Lucifer Rising' soundtrack, as well as Mick Jagger's haunting score for Anger's 'Invocation Of My Demon Brother' and the replacement 'Lucifer Rising' score composed by Bobby Beausoleil. The CD was released to coincide/commemorate the appearance of 6th June 2006, or: 06/06/06 and its extensive liner notes were written by one "M.D. Not"

2012: Jimmy Page released (via his website only) a limited edition vinyl LP record: 'Lucifer Rising & Other Tracks', Side Two of which contains a series of short eerie, instrumental experiments which are strongly reminiscent of Page's 1982 'Death Wish 2' soundtrack. Side One of the LP is taken up entirely by a cleaned-up version of 'Lucifer Rising'. However, this new version is noticeably shorter: coming in at just over 21-minutes. The thunderstorm/howling gale finale in the original has here been completely excised by Page -- thereby inadvertently (or deliberately?) leaving the "must-have" status of the original work intact.

"2013: My offering comprises Jimmy Page's full, completely unedited and uninterrupted original 'Lucifer Rising' score -- (with my addition of pertinent/relevant stills) -- uploaded here in commemoration of the Winter Solstice and in recognition of the works of Aleister Crowley, Kenneth Anger and Jimmy Page with great respect."

Woke up with a few aches and pains due to an interrupted sleep pattern combined with laying awkwardly. So the first thing i have done is to rub in some deep heat gel and now having a coffee before preparation of lunch today. Basically a chicken dish with baked potatoes and veg.
