Today i was in Faversham doing a covert complaint visit at my building society with the recording dongle i received from the research company. I also sold some books at Past Sentence.

Had a long wait at the train station for a return to the village due to some fatality on the line between Dover and Canterbury.

l have been listening to a few podcasts from Radio 4 such as Brain Of Britain, In Our Time, The Digital Human and Word Of Mouth.

Eternal – Always and Forever (1993)

This is not as bad as i thought it would be.. I had forgotten how immense the mega-hit Stay is. That bit where she sings ‘I don’t know, I-I-I-I-I don’t know, just what it takes to get to you….’ is major face-melt pop genius. I bloody love the opening 16 bars to Save Our Love too. That big underwater bell sound has never been used to better effect. It’s a shame then that the rest of the CD just pootles along without doing much, except for a fine version of the Evelyn Champagne King song "Sweet Funky Thing".

Fact fans may want to know that Lotti Golden was heavily involved in this 4 x Platinum seller.

The comment was "Thanks for this fan fact! Lotti co-produced and wrote a few tracks on the LP. Sweet Funky Thing is one of my faves as well. Golden brought in Evelyn Champagne King to sing the demo, so in addition to backing vocals by Eternal, Golden and King are also contributing their NY soul sound to the recording, because no one wanted to erase the original demo vocals, would be sacrilege!"
