Well , that was a long day.

I just missed the seven o'clock evening bus from Brighton to Tunbridge Wells by a minute. That meant that I had a good hour and a half to wait for the next one. When I finally got to my destination , due to weekend engineering works on the rail network I had to do a convoluted four train swap, from Tunbridge Wells to Tonbridge, from there to Bromley South, and the to Swanley, with the final train from there to Teynham. This meant not getting in till after one in the morning. Thankfully Sunday is a day off from it all.

Friday night I caught up with the latest episodes of Agents of SHIELD (Spacetime) and Legends of Tomorrow (Progency) , both being excellent episodes, especially the former with Daisy (aka Quake) in right kickass action mode. She almost got done in by the evil …

It was quite a lovely day in Brighton and with camera in hand i sapped away.

Neat St.Peters Church.

A bendy bus near the Pavilion.

My first port of call was a charity shop in the London Road in Brighton. This branch sells all the stuff that other branches cannot sell at low prices, so I picked up five paperback books and a CD for three pounds.

Whilst in Hove I visited Julian at Fine Records and sold some CD's for twenty quid. This is the finest record shop for classical music in the area, plus it has some great albums of all genres in the racks.

Julian with a customer.

I completed the other charity shop visit, had a pint of beer at the Cliftonville, before heading of for my meal and drink visit in Brighton.

I purchased a shirt and a CD from the second charity shop visit. The CD,  "Homogenic" , is another Bjork album to add to my collection of her music.

With the camera in hand i looked for unusual things such as this colourful junction box.

I achieved this candid shot of Spanish students.as well as a good pic of a street musician.

My dinner at the Wetherspoons pub was the tasty breaded chicken burger to which i flavoured with pepper, peri peri sauce and mayonnaise.

I then ended up in the Evening Star for a final pint and noticed a few old friends there including Rick The hat.

So despite getting back to well after one in the morning it was a great day.

I make no apologies for these photos , because you know i am big fan of Charmed, and that Alyssa Milano is a total babe. The one with comic superhero creator Stan Lee is priceless.

My second fave from the show is the supremely divine Rose McGowan.

Result: You are Ferdinand de Saussure!

Author of Course in General Linguistics, you see patterns in the world around you and believe there are structures underlying all social phenomena. To you, understanding this structure is more meaningful than trying to understand any one thing in isolation. In fact, you see very little point in studying an isolated phenomenon without looking at the bigger picture. When conducting research, you prefer to begin by coming up with universal ideas about the world around you and then confirming these ideas through your observations. Go conquer the world you structuralist!

The Passion Of The Nerd has posted two vids on You Tube, the first of which is a kind of selfie.

This video isn't great and that's OKAY

Big bad of Season 6 of Buffy has to those Nerds and in particular Warren. He killed Tara, and almost Buffy too. I felt for Willow's pain. Wells me up every time i watch. In the end, with the death of Tara and Willow bingeing on the dark forces she becomes the big bad until the metaphorical heart of the gang that is Xander stops her from destroying the world.

Just watched the three episodes of Buffy where dank Willow kills Warren and then proceeds to get the other two and then taking the mojo that Giles was imbued with tries to end the world with Xabder becoming the hero and stops her with his unflinching love and friendship. Awesome.

Also, this was quite a fascinating read.
