Overcast Day

Another dull and overcast day. I really do not know what has happened to our summer.

Last night i watched some episodes of Charmed from Season 4 having already gone through Season 3 again.

Today, i am looking around Faversham as i have deferred my visit to Margate till the Monday.

So a day of relaxing..

The sun did try to peek out of the clouds but was to shy to say hello.

Since someone here on LJ mentioned it and asked if i write poetry i said i did not (at least not since a lovesick teenager) but here is one which i have recently been playing around with.

To Coltrane.

Here lies a jazz riff
A tune in blue modes
Loose,in flux, adrift
Melody unhinged ,erodes
Whilst Coltrane blows away
To the final coda
Against the rhythmic sway
Frothing up like soda.

In The Quays

Oh my i am getting LJ in fine fettle here at the hostel tonight. How weird is that but then it has been a week of weirdness of sorts when it comes to the net at various establishments. Mind you , not many people around tonight so the net use here is very light. I am saving my money with only thirty quid at the moment since i am still awaiting two weeks JSA benefits.

Been catching up comments and commenting on friends sites after my longish day in Faversham. I am almost up to date there. Listening to more classic Kool and the Gang as i write. What a great sound they had in their formative years up to around 1977.
