Caught up with the latest episodes of Legends Of Tomorrow and Agents Of SHIELD last night, and hence the minor lie-in this morning. It is another mild but overcast days in which the temperature is around twelve degrees C.

I am at Queenborough ,on the island, having done a supermarket audit visit. I will be heading off to Medway to do four phone shop visits, and then end up with one more supermarket visit.

So a fairly busy day again.

I have done the three covert visits in Medway and one covert phone shop visit in Maidstone. I think that will do for the day now.

What was the first adult book (meaning written for adults) you remember reading?

How old were you?

How did it make you feel - all grown up, a little confused or something else?

Barring time and money, what is something that you never have quite enough of?

If you could make one thing come true for everyone on the planet, what would it be?

Two more poems i have enjoyed -

Sometime During Eternity

Poem by Lawrence Ferlinghetti

Sometime during eternity
some guys show up
and one of them
who shows up real late
is a kind of carpenter
from some square-type place
like Galilee
and he starts wailing
and claiming he is hep
to who made heaven
and earth
and that the cat
who really laid it on us
is his Dad

And moreover
he adds
It's all writ down
on some scroll-type parchments
which some henchmen
leave lying around the Dead Sea somewheres
a long time ago
and which you won't even find
for a coupla thousand years or so
or at least for
nineteen hundred and fortyseven
of them
to be exact
and even then
nobody really believes them
or me
for that matter

You're hot
they tell him

And they cool him

They stretch him on the Tree to cool
And everybody after that
is always making models
of this Tree
with Him hung up
and always crooning His name
and calling Him to come down
and sit in
on their combo
as if he is THE king cat
who's got to blow
or they can't quite make it

Only he don't come down
from His Tree

Him just hang there
on His Tree
looking real Petered out
and real cool
and also
according to a roundup
of late world news
from the usual unreliable sources
real dead.

A Late Walk

Poem by Robert Frost

When I go up through the mowing field,
The headless aftermath,
Smooth-laid like thatch with the heavy dew,
Half closes the garden path.

And when I come to the garden ground,
The whir of sober birds
Up from the tangle of withered weeds
Is sadder than any words

A tree beside the wall stands bare,
But a leaf that lingered brown,
Disturbed, I doubt not, by my thought,
Comes softly rattling down.

I end not far from my going forth
By picking the faded blue
Of the last remaining aster flower
To carry again to you.
