My Fave Xmas Songs #9 and #10
Dec. 22nd, 2016 01:17 pmOoh , before i forget and after the three hour maintenance LJ did last night making it unable forme to post this, here is numero nine. However,
cmcmck has already posted it so sod it here it is again.
Sandy Denny - Winter Winds
The Incredible String Band - Chinese White
The bent twig of darkness
Grows the petals of the morning
It shows to them the birds singing
Just behind the dawning
Come dip into the cloud cream lapping
I can't keep my hand on the plough
Because it's dying
But I will lay me down with my arms
Round a rainbow
And I will lay me down to dream
Oh, will your magic
Christmas tree be shining
Gently all around?
Climbing up these figures
The sun is tugging at my shoulder
And every step I take
I think, my feet are getting older
I see the crystal dreams unfolding
I can't keep my eyes on the book
Because it's mouldering
But I will lay me down with my arms
Round a rainbow
And I will lay me down to dream
Oh, will your magic
Christmas tree be shining
Gently all around?

Faversham and Canterbury Today
Dec. 22nd, 2016 10:39 pmWell, what a lovely day it has been. I ust hope tomorrow is the same when i travel to Brighton tomorrow for the festive weekend.
Mike informs me that Eosalind has a stinker of a cold at the moment and i have just got rid of mine apart from a nagging cough.
Canterbury was heaving today.Shoppers thronged the streets and i was glad i was there only to get Ros's pressie ,wrapping paper, and a few bits and pieces including some pipe cleaners.
I will post up some pics a bit later.
I was alsoin faversham and pic

Just Wondering
Dec. 22nd, 2016 10:46 pmOkay - i am doing a second bout of questions today as i am travelling tomorrow and may not have time or inclination to do one.
What’s the most unusual thing you've ever eaten? Did you like it? Would you eat it again?
What would you say is your favourite album/CD of all time?
Do you or have you ever collected anything? If so, how did you get started? If not, would you like to start a collection of something?

Snaps Today
Dec. 22nd, 2016 11:10 pmSome pics i took with the Nokia today -

The central Xmas tree in Fabersham.

Walking down Preston Street to West Street in Faversham.

A new vinyl only record shop in Canterbury.

A busker in Canterbury with home made guitar. Reminds me a bit of Seasick Steve and his home made guitars.

Denuded trees in Canterbury looking spooky and a bit evil, a bit like the Ent in Lord of the Rings.
