Three Turtles
Apr. 16th, 2017 11:58 amLast night l listened to one of the CD's from the Turtle records box set - John Taylor's "Pause And Think Again" - wonderful melodic, fluid and equally challenging progressive jazz.
This morning i played the Howard Riley album "Flight" from the set - free improv but tightly knitted by Riley on piano, Barry Guy on bass and Tony Oxley on the drums.I am also enjoying the excellent, detailed 52 page booklet by Colin Harper: 17,000 words and numerous photos.
From Flight -
Howard Riley Trio - Cirrus (with Barry Guy & Tony Oxley)
John Taylor - And Think Again
Enjoy.
I have yet to listen to the Mike Osborne album.
