One thing that the recent election has shown is the power of leading with substance and ideas, rather than slick packaging and fear. The more that the festering May tried to exploit people's fears and shocks - telling them they might need to give up their privacy and human rights to fight terror,that-they should delegate their rights to her - the more that Corbyn's message pf hope and positivism looked the better option to many people. He will need the support of the Liberals and SNP if there is going to be a second election if they need to oust the Tories once and for all.

Phil picked me up at 9.30 this morning. The reason for being earlier today was due to a charity shop visit i had in Brighton.

We arrived in the city at 11 am and i popped into the chazzer , gave them my donation and then purchased a CD set of bluesman Jimmy Reed and DVD set of Breaking Bad Season One.

We parked the van at the usual location in the station car park.

As we were still a bit early for the Evening Star to open up we headed off to the Grand Central for a beer,as this was mentioned in the Radio 4 Food Programme yesterday about women and beer.

We had a half of Black Cab Stout there.

More here )

It was a great lunch as always. Think i slept most of the way on the journey home whilst Phil did the driving.
