After a couple more hours of sleeping i actually feel better now. I also had a sneezing session but i have taken measures against that.

Disinformation on BBC Radio 4 - VLF Radio & Electromagnetism

BBC Radio 4 interview from the "Broadcasting House" show, 15 June 2008, discussing the "Stargate", "Ghost Shells" and "London Underground" by sound art project Disinformation - created using electromagnetic / radio noise radiated by the sun (specifically from solar coronal mass ejections), by electric storms and by rapid transport systems. On 5 March 2008 "Stargate" and "Ghost Shells" were also demonstrated at The Centre for Life, Newcastle, as part of the Disinformation event in Newcastle's AV Festival , while both these tracks and "London Underground" were exhibited in the Goldsmiths College (Un)Sound showcase at Shunt Vaults, London on 5 June 2008. S.E.T.I. - Gathering

This recording, on the Ash International label, reflects man's fascination with "what might be out there". Utilising speech, NASA recordings and radio broadcasts, it highlights the covert activities of the American authorities in a field which is, in fact, within our domain. Four tracks, Gathering, Concealment, Knowledge and Journey, bathe the listener in a spectrum of pulsating and ever-evolving sound. The listener is left transported with a yearning for spatial fulfilment, fuelled by the excitement of discovery.
Following recent revelations concerning the ease with which individuals can access high security data, Knowledge is particularly relevant in exposing the farcical levels of secrecy which surround any investigation or research into extra-terrestrial intelligence.
S.E.T.I. was an international organisation dedicated to the Search for Extra-Terrestrial Intelligence, recently becoming the High Resolution Microwave Survey. S.E.T.I. was set up in the 1970s by Carl Sagan and Frank Drake, initially funded by US Congress.Recently their grant has been axed and they now rely on voluntary donations. Its purpose remains to establish a protocol of behaviour on contact with extra- terrestrial intelligence, in an attempt to safeguard any discoveries for the whole of mankind and not just the eacutelite. There are many international signatories to the S.E.T.I. Protocol, including the U.N., most Western governments and scientific establishments, as well as private individuals and groups.

Fortitude

It has been a quiet day of reading and watching DVD's.I have watched the 12 episodes of season one of Fortitude - which i started watching the other day. It was a gripping piece of drama and my guess of the murderer coming from something that had thawed out of the Arctic permafrost was quite spot on. It all started with the find of a woolly mammoth's tusks preserved in the ice.
