Tuesday Transformations
Jan. 15th, 2019 11:30 pmAnother day in which i did not do much except to do one supermarket covert shop in Sittingbourne.
I did speak to Ewart though today in the Golden Hope pub. Not seen him since the beginnng of the new year. In fact, I am seeing Phil this Thursday - first meet up since the beginning of the year.
This morning Sue organised the first community chat of the year in the common room. This was just a coffee and chat get together. On the informal agneda she mentioned ways that the older generation can stay healthy and especially their brains. I popped up with doing quizzes, crosswords and if you had Facebook , the Quiz, as well as reading books, and not just fiction. I forgot to mention that they could start their own blog. Might bring it up on the next one.
Whilst in Asda i bought some new denim trousers for seven quid. One of my pairs is beginning to wear out. I almost live in them every day lol!
Ewart and I got chatting about Bob Dylan. I said that i was getting back into the geezer due to a book my bro gave me for Xmas. His brother wanted the Bootleg Series 1 - 3 and his bro {Ewart's} said it was no longer avaialble - i guess he went to HMV - idiot! Anyway, i look it up on Amazon on my Asus Zen pad and there it's still available in three versions of the box set - from 1997, 2010 and 2017 - so i told Ewart to tell his bro that it is still can be got quite cheaply ( new on Prime for £8 or cheaper still if you want used). In fact, along with the 1966 Manchester Free Trade Hall live sets it is one of the best alternative compilations of Dylan's muse.
