A  wet and windy morning and gale force winds. Not a pleasant day to go out.

The rain has abated though.

I am feeling animated.

Secured five more food visits for my local eatery via one of my companies.

It is fish and chips day - just happens to be one of the choices,
Decision time.

Well, despite the rather inclement weather, I did pop out to have my fish and chips at Spoons today. I also needed to withdraw some money for tomorrow and to post a couple of items I sold on eBay.

I just missed one bus back home and now have a good hour or so wait for till the next one, so I am currently in the local library.

I am also going to see the discussion with Iain Sinclair on the same day as I am seeing Viv Albertine. He has a current book on health and architecture which is on my formidably long wants list.

I am very tempted to get this.

The weather should be much better tomorrow as I have deferred all my plans to visit Sittingbourne until then.

Lebanon

The latest SPN episode "Lebanon" was a real emotional welter, where they discover a pearl that allows Dean to wish something - specifically to get the dark archangel Michael out of his head - gets his Dad back - but with consequences to the timeline which they discover later and have to undo. If it was the good old Doctor Who, it would not have been a problem.

Yep, still watching this excellent series.

Having learned that my bro is sending me the Iain Sinclair book I mentioned earlier, has prompted this Friday Five.

What book would you like to be able to read again for the very first time?

What book has left the strongest impression, either good or bad, on you?

What book did you just not 'get' despite everyone telling you what a fabulous and meaningful book it is?

What book made you rethink your own opinions?

What non-fiction book is your favourite and why?
