Dang This Bloody Rain!
Jun. 10th, 2019 10:27 pmI am glad today is over, as It rained all day long. BUT six visits have been done!
I left home this morning to get the 6.38am bus to town to pick up the 6.59am bus to Ashford so that I could get a train to Eastbourne. I arrive at the train station there at 7.30 to find that all the east coast train to and from Ashford to Eastbourne have been cancelled due to no electricity on the rails and a problem with signalling at Eastbourne.
So my 624am train was cancelled, and a train replacement bus did not arrive till 9.40am. It was a Travelmaster from the Sheerness depot of all places - the ones they use to bus children to the Sittingbourne schools!
Do my supermarket v9ost due to be done before 11:30 was out the question but at least I have to the 23rd to do that one. In the end, I used the free bus ride to do my visits to Hastings, and then the techy one at Bexhill. After that, I popped down to the main town and caught a train to get me to Tunbridge Wells to do my last two techy visits there. arrived back in Faversham at around 7pm.
So despite the dang awful weather, it was a hellishly productive day. Six visits in total for around sixty quid in all.
Anybody want rain as I am very happy to trade your sunshine?
