Well, here I am in London. I am having a filter cofee at Costa in Blackheath. The coffee is only a quid anyway. The weather is dry if a bit murky at the moment. The Virtnamese foodie visit is in two weeks time but I am still doing the Jap food one and a bar visit at UCL plus a charity shop visit.

I have already done my Japanese food shop visit. I am now at University College London and waiting for the IOE bar to open midday. For those uninitiated the initials mean the Institute of Education and I am building up my thirst for a pint of beer.

Back in FAVERSHAM and stuck in my local pub
A Zero Sum Game
Too wet to walk home yet.
Too wet for others to visit.
But I have books. From the IOE and from MVE.
And others from the charity shop visit.
Plus beer.

Finally back home,
Brolly was useless in the extreme gusty gale and soaking rain.
It finally became defunct...
So now I am listening to my one CD find of the day from MVE, Notting Hill.

Wonderful modern minimalist style modern classical music. Reviewed in Wire in 1991.

Michael Torke - Adjustable Wrench

I found these from the charity shop visit -

The middle book is a poetry collection about bees.

When I finished the bar visit at the IOE Bar I found in the foyer area of the institute a box with some books in them with a notice saying " These are free. Please take" and there was just three left of which two did not seem interesting enough except for the one I took.

Arrived back in Faversham and just missed my last bus home so I popped into Spoons and then the weather got rather nastier. It started really nice and sunny during the day in London.

On the whole a good day except for the torrential downpour in the evening.

I have some other pics to post as well.

UCL Geology and Zoology Museum Windows

An archway made of books in the Gower Street outlet of Waterstones. This branch used to be a Dillons Bookshop and they still have the cafe belonging to the former. It is located not far from the UCL buildings and amongst its five floors has a number of academic sections.

If you could become invisible, what would you do?

What item are you always out of when grocery shopping?

Do you have more male or female friends?
