Some music for the late-night listeners -

Brian Eno - Late Anthropocene

Roger & Brian Eno – Celeste

Brian Eno and Chilvers have worked together on videos for the album Mixing Colours that distil the album’s essence, marrying the simplicity and contemplative qualities of its soundscapes with suitably uncomplicated, mesmerising imagery of slowly-changing, dreamlike panoramas. Whether or not these settings are familiar, their impressionistic character lends them enigmatic anonymity, encouraging the mind to wander into worlds both real and imagined. “The more you listen to this,” says Roger, “particularly with the fabulous worlds that Brian has created, you can really walk into this enormous landscape and stay.”

Roger Eno - The Frost

Gabriele Mitelli - Six little pieces for Robert Morris

Gabriele Mitelli The World Behind The Skin We Insist! CD/DL/LP

Gabriele Mitelli plays cornet, alto flugelhorn – found in East European brass bands – and soprano sax, and works with electronics and voice. The research for his latest project, recorded live in Parma circa 2017, began with a performance in 2015 at MART in the contemporary art museum Rovereto for an exhibition by Fluxus artist Robert Morris, whose work Mitelli loves.

Well, that was a really lovely sunny day. It was great to be out and about. A little flirtation to one of the coastal towns and then picking up the latest Wire magazine made the day, followed by some flirtatious real ale in my local Spoons pub.

This month's Wire (April issue) comes with an attached CD , one every quarter,of new interesting underground music.

Funnily enough, I listened to some Gal Costa recently. There is an interview with her in this current issue, as she is over there for a few dates, and of course, was part of the Brazilian Tropicalia movement.

So I might add some music to the following post later, perhaps.
