It's Friday
Oct. 2nd, 2020 12:44 pmLoads of rain this morning but slowly it is drying up. Perhaps by afternoon, we might see some sunshine, well hopefully. I may pop into town this afternoon anyway.
I sold a couple of books online at eBay so these need to be posted off soon. Rather disappointed about the lack of sales on Discogs but that site has always been slow going in comparison.
Tomorrow I will be in Sittingbourne doing another covert shop. A supermarket visit so I will do my food purchases then.
I fancy some fish and chips today, so I might just have some in my local pub later.

It's Fish Friday
Oct. 2nd, 2020 03:31 pmSo, despite the drizzle, I bussed into town and back and posted my sales off. I also hand lunch at Spoons and had the fish and chips deal with curried chips and a pint of ale.

So delicious. Great comfort food.
I was in Spoons yesterday and I was chatting to my neighbour above me, Tim, about various things. He was on a different table to me and thus socially distanced. Anyway, we got on to the subject of other people here in Waterstone Place (such as Vera and others) and he said that he would rather converse with me because, in his opinion, I am the most intelligent person within the whole cul de sac. I felt very flattered.
This Tim is getting close to eighty now, and of course, is NOT the erstwhile cousin who shall remain a nemesis and something unspeakable in polite conversation.
I must admit I did feel a slight schadenfreude when I heard that the orange-faced Cheeto has caught the virus. Whether this will favour Biden or not is mutable.
