Saturday Swinging
Dec. 5th, 2020 10:17 pmBlimey. Time flies. Was going to post earlier. Then had a late aftenoon siesta. Anyway, I dod one visit in Ashford and then popped over to Canterbury to do another.
But - way too busy - and with distancing restrictions there were queues - loads of them - outside shops - as customers were limited to small numbers in stores. I was going to do a Tesco phone store visit but decided not to do that - as I HATE QUEUES! Do it on a quiet Monday though!
However, I perused some of the fewer busy charity shops and found this for two quid -

Also "Signs " by Autechre arrived in the post. A brilliant new electronica album by these guys who been pursuing the avant-garde side of it for 30 years now.
Soon it will be the Jan issue of Wire in almost a week ahead. I wonder what will be the top fifty albums of the year from their critical review. Expect Autechre and Wiliam Basinski to be high in it and I hope that Shirley Collins is there too. I am sure Bob Dylan's new set will be there as well.
Listening to Erikah Badu as I write.

Just Wondering
Dec. 5th, 2020 11:20 pmPer a conversation I was having with another LJ friend, are you the type of person someone comes to because they know that you can confide in you or because you'll be honest with them and set them straight?
Do you have to have the last word, no matter what?
And on a seasonal theme - do you wrap or use gift bags?
