. Once again, it turned out to be a very sunny warm afternoon. I took advantage of the weather by sunbathing again. The forecast for the rest of the week looks pretty good.

Lunch was just a tasty and spicy Chilli-con-Carne on pilau rice. Tomorrow I might have fish. Undecided as yet.

I have two sold items (from eBay) to post and a Ziffit package to send to the newsagent. I shall do these in the morning. I am expecting a Bush MT1 turntable that I bid for and won on eBay. That might come on Monday via Hermes.

The reason is that some music reviewed in Wire is only available on vinyl or download. The turntable cost only £15 and its normal retail price is around £50. A result!

Whilst most of my gigs either on my own or with the lads (Abo and Ally) were vinyl only,  I also did some gigs via a laptop or two. One to play and segue the music whilst the other controlled the disco lights and the funky strobing effects. Musically I was heading towards more dub reggae, techno and drum n' bass but still wacked in the old funky groove.

No photo description available.

I think my last gigs were late 2015. By then the Northern Lights had closed down and went under new management and other pubs became less favourable and changed their policies. The Quadrant became a Comedy Club venue for the yearly May Festival. When I moved to Kent I still visited Brighton on occasions and the picture below was taken outside the Evening Star in May 2015 - which was my local pub whilst living in central Brighton. Unfortunately, I got photobombed.

Mind you, I still had my Jazzy D T-shirt on (one black and one white) so I might have done a gig around then. However, the mists of memory have obscured that fact.

If I find other old pics I shall put these on the blog as well.
