Jazz Friday at the Place

Apart from Ewart, I do not have anybody else in town I can talk to about jazz except for the newest neighbour here in the Place at flat 29. She lives next door to my friend, the classicist, Mary at 27. And so, I have a combination of folk I can talk music with. Also, and I forgot to mention this, a few weeks ago our common room or community room, is now open again. Whilst listening to Late Junction on BBC Radio 3 earlier, I hatched a plan, as I know the new lass is into jazz.

I am going to play a selection of jazz CDs each Friday evening in the common room from 6 – 8 pm, and I produced a poster for it which I stuck up on the notice board.

Good Morning

Busy Day

Another early evening siesta took longer than expected. Well, I had a long busy day and arrived home around seven knackered. On a gloriously sunny day with a nice warm breezy 25C, I did an excursion around Kent doing five visits as I o when I am covert shopping.

I left this morning on the nine o'clock bus and headed to Folkestone first, then up to Deal for a second job, then Margate and Ramsgate, ending up in Canterbury. I had little time to do any unrelated charity shop persuing or general window shopping as time was tight.

Anyway, that is it till July. So a nice relaxing Sunday ahead.
