Friday Frolics
Jul. 16th, 2021 09:01 pmWell, finally we had a full day of sunshine. Hardly a cloud in the sky and it was great sunbathing weather. That is exactly what I did for most of the day. I popped into town midday to have a lovely fish and chips dinner with a pint of Old Thumper. It was a large fish too!

I also received my Charles Wuorinen LP in the post. A great slice of classic sixties avant-garde electronica from the composers that ditched the orchestra, and used the new technology of synthesizers.

So, on the whole, a relaxing day.
Except for one faux pas!
I had bought a bottle of wine from the local convenience store for six quid and started drinking it outside with my little stool which had the wine glass and bottle on it, and I had had two glasses of the red vino already - and then I get up from my chair and accidentally knock the stool with the result of sn almighty crash of shattering glass and half-drunk wine bottle!
Ye Gods - stupid me!
I had to clear up all the broken glass and I felt more sorry for the spilled wine. Bugger it. I can do without that.
