Sunday Salutations
Dec. 19th, 2021 09:17 amTime has flown by quickly and soon it will be the festive season. For some, it begins this week, and for others not till Xmas Eve. Yesterday was the last of my major going out type of covert mystery shopping. I have nothing planned until the New Year.
If any research company needs my help meantime, they will have to consider triple fees for it.
This period will give me time to complete several books I am concurrently reading. I have at least ten on the go, and all that would add to my target of a hundred books. I still doubt I would trach that target as I have so far read 78 books. It would be a miracle if I completed 22 books by the end of the year.
Monday, we have our annual Christmas raffle in the common room. Here will be free food as well as drinks. I have conspired with my new friend Dawn to set aside two seats near the hi-fi in the lounge and bring our own booze with us a good half hour before the festivities start at midday. We both decided that the so-called curtain twitchers, Jean and Vera, should no longer be kingpins of this establishment.
I now have twenty cards on the card wall, and I thank everybody who has sent one. Unfortunately, I have had to cut back and thus send cards abroad to my friends in the USA and Canada. I will thank them individually here on LJ by PM. In particular, special thanks go to Jon and Katherine for their lovely cards, although once again, Jon’s messy tinsel on his card is everywhere on my clothes when I opened his Xmas card. Yes, I can hear him chuckling now, LOL!!
Okay, let the reading and listening commence. Ta ta for now.

Groove in Da Flat
Dec. 19th, 2021 04:32 pmTime for some food porn -
Lunch finished. A very spicy chicken curry dish today -

Breakfast this morning was two eggs on toast sprinkled with chili flakes and garlic. Oh yeah!
Just had one of these strong beasties. Another 7.2 % ABV craft ale.

Dawn came round as she needed some help to print some return labels to Amazon mostly but the printer in the common room needs more printer cartridges as it is out of print. Sue says it is working but it is not anyway. So Dawn printed out some return labels and gave me four quid for using my printer!
She can come round my flat anmytime and have beers or whatever alcohol she fancies!!!
