jazzy_daveI still will take this with a bit of salt but there is still hope that in 2018 or 2019 we will have a Charmed reboot of sorts .

"The previously shelved Charmed pilot from Jane the Virgin showrunner Jennie Snyder Urman may have just been given new life. After the show didn't pass muster for the 2018 season, fans were led to believe it would be reignited in 2019 with the same basic concept for a trio of witches, but set in 1976. It looks like plans are changing.
The revamped version is expected to connect with the original Charmed series in some way. While that is exciting news for longtime fans of the show, what would be even more rewarding to hear is that all of the Halliwell sisters are reprising their roles."
Alyssa Milano, calling Charmed fans the best ever, speculated that CBS Studios understands the importance of getting a reboot right, which is why the script went back into redevelopment after the first take.
"I’ll tell you everything I know: the last few years, CBS Studios—not the network, the studio—has been trying to reboot 'Charmed' without any of the old cast members. They just want to use the franchise. Because we have the best fans ever, they were up in arms over this and said you can’t do 'Charmed' without the original cast members. I think CBS Studios understands the importance of getting it right, so they came up with the idea last year that they were going to do a prequel to our story, but the script didn’t come in the way they wanted, and so it went back into redevelopment."
While rumours continue to swirl, Milano maintains that she is open to whatever scenario brings Charmed back to television screens.
The CW's Mark Pedowitz confirmed at the 2017 TV Critics' Association summer press tour that the series is in redevelopment, which offers hope that fan concerns are being taken into consideration.
It's nice to know the reboot/revamp isn't dead in the waters, and Milano's words bring hope to the millions of fans who want to make sure CBS Studios understands that without the Halliwell sisters, it can't actually be a Charmed reboot.
