Damn Weather Blues

jazzy_daveThis damn weather has done it on me again - about to do some work door to door and it pisses down again,and it is so difficult doing that type of work in the rain.
Anyway,dropped some books and an LP off at Snoopers ,and bought some more £1 books at Sandpiper Books , "Windows On The Sixties,Exploring Key Texts of Media And Culture" ed. by Arthur Marwick Anthony Aldgate and James Chapman(I B Taurus 2000 ISBN 1 86064 383 3),"Illustration" by J.Hills Miller (Reaktion Books 1992 ISBN 0 948462 32 9),and Keith Waterhouse "Palace Pier" (Sceptre hardback 2003 ISBN 0 340 82300-3) with a picture of Brighton's own Palace Pier on the front cover.
Noticed a guy bought two of my LP's in Snoopers including the Carmen McCrae LP,which i put out for £4,plus two others from our stall. Nice one ,just need that kind of activity every day and magnified.
Bought the R Crumb book "Heroes of Blues,Jazz and Country" (Abrams) today from Borders - includes a 21 track CD of some of this great old music remastered from old 78's. Essential stuff for any R Crumb fan and lover of old blues,etc.
Three more cheques arrived this morning from Ebay sales and put in the bank.
Right let's try to hit the streets again and do some work. Blah,hate the bloody rain.
