Been listening to some more of the Tom Waits triple CC set today - and its a grower. The limited edition version comes in a mini book format, whereas the standard copy is a normal digipack affair without the excellent booklet (as far as i know). It has had some good reviews in the press, and will be on final list for albums of the year.
Tried Vicks First Defence to stop this cold developing and by golly it seems to be working very effectively. Not cheap but a bloody good nasal spray.
Picked up the latest Plan B magazine with an ATP label free CD sampler from Resident, and found a Hornweb Sax Quartet LP "Universe Works" (Discus 1989) for only £2 from Oxfam in Kensington Gardens. This is the second LP i have by them, the first being on the Cadillac label recorded three years earlier. Alsoo picked up Ananda Shankar's debut LP (on Reprise) from Borderline - the one with the version of Jumpin' Jack Flash.
Tomorrow is the Researchers Xmas Party event in Haywards Heath. Dave Bennett will take GC and moi to the event tomorrow
