Sunny day
but it is damn blustery.
Been to the local shop to get some food, a bottle of wine and cider.
Listening to BBC Radio 3," Discovery and Invention", a series of some of the best live recordings from the BBC Symphony Orch., BBC Scottish Orchetra, and BBC Concert Orchestra.
What I love is all the new music they commissioned over the years.
And some of my fave composers -
Anna Meredith
Jonathan Harvey
Harrison Birtwistle
Thomas Ades
Mark Anthony Turnage
James Dillon
and more besides -
I suppose I am very much more into contemporary or modern composers that includes serialism, minimalism, spectralism. and new complexity. You can extend that to acousmatic, and electro-acoustic composers.
When the BBC Proms are back this year I do intend to go once all this COVID shit is over.
