After my stint they had a rookie DJ trying to learn the ropes with a bunch of six singles, including one hit wonders Musical Youth and a collaboration Xmas single between David Bowie and Bing Crosby (Yuk!). By thaty time most of the punters left with just one perusing his laptop. At least the guy did play "Joe Le Taxi" by Vanessa Paradis, a guilty secret favourite of mine. By then (10.30 pm) Flipside rescued the trauma by playing some Talking Heads. Then i left to see the last twenty minutes of Piers playing some live guitar jazz at the Quadrant.

Piers is the one behind the lamp. Crap photo taker i am!
Anyway he is playing at the Albion pub in Hove today from 2.30 pm til five,so i might pop down there.
