Taking the advantage of it being a crisp cold but sunny day , i took the short journey by train to Faversham to sell some books.
Got eight quid for them , so i then bought some pipe tobacco and then had a pint of beer at the Wetherspoons pub. This was a delightfully dark I Wantsum Black Prince ale (3.9 % ABV). There was a couple outside where i sat trying to drum up a conversation with me, so i acceded ,only to find how boring they were. Within moments, i whipped out my mp3 player and listened to some music whilst enjoying the ale.
Afterwards, i bought a couple of books from the Fleur bookshop. Whilst i was perusing the books in this quite busy establishment, no less than Bob Geldof came in. I was quite speechless. He did not stay long, and then i continued my .penetrating search for something cheap and inspiring. I came out with these for fifty pence each -

With a few minutes left before my return journey I popped into the Elephant for a pint of I Wantsum Red Rabble (5.0 % ABV). This pub is a homely small pub that has a good range of ales at reasonable prices. It made a nice change from being stuck inside.
