Go Figure?

I seem to have LJ problems again. It says it cannot find, but then it happened to Twitter and my research company ESA, and yet Facebook is fine. Go figure?

Maintenance issues or DDOS attacks?

Some reported that they had trouble commenting during the past week.
But it seemed like not everyone was hit by it.
Perhaps related to your position in the data banks or your settings or whatever it is. Should remain temporary.

When it happens to me, seems like it's local and not LJ-wide. Heck, even Facebook had outages this week. My cable tv box seems to require weekly resets and it's a new-ish one.

I had problems commenting on some posts yesterday, but today everything seems fine (so far). I haven't had problems anywhere else. LJ does seem to have these issues periodically. It doesn't seem severe enough to be a DDOS attack though. When those happen, everything seems to break down. acelightning's advice is good, and worth considering, especially as you say you've had problems with Twitter and elsewhere. Twitter can get a bit dodgy when they're experiencing a high user load, but that tends to manifest as the feed getting stuck, rather than the site not loading in the first place.
