Problems with the modem and scanner to do with the scanning job has made me tear my hair out. It is frustratingly slow, and did not connect last time i used it Also, it is a bugger  having to send the data which they call polling, as it as it only worked with broadband plugged out and it plugged in. So the damn machine, which is faulty, and its associated chunky scanner, is going back tomorrow for the tech bods to sort out. Inter alia, i do not want to see the antique contraption again.

So, just over a week before my few days  on the south coast seeing friends and enjoying a day out at Bellota in Brighton. Hence ab libitum is the motto for that week. Plus a few mystery shops in the area , including Brighton, Bexhill, and Rye.

Just started reading Michel Foucault's book on the history of sexuality "The Will To Knowledge".

I have enjoyed Foucault, Discipline and Punish, and have bought and read the first few pages of the History of the Clinic, about the philosophy and history of medicine. He has written extensively on sex and sexuality, and I think he has really interesting ideas (i.e. I agree with him :)
