I shall be reading more about the Italian Renaissance today, as i picked this book up for fifty pence in Faversham on Monday, and will be taking it along with me on my visits.

I should do this too. I've actually got a couple dozen or so books about the Renaissance, plus a few more written during the time (I've been slowly getting copies from the I Tatti Renaissance Library), though I keep letting my attention getting drawn back to ancient and medieval history. (And buying books from the Loeb Classical Library instead.)
