Possibly a little trip to Faversham is due, as i have some unwanted paperbacks to sell, and as it is a market day, might find something of interest. Also, it is quite a pleasant warm day, and it would be sacrilege to be stuck indoors. Plus, as there is always a positive, , the old Spoons pub might have some beers in that  i have not tried before.

Meanwhile, some You Tube clips for you earlobes.

First of,   a track to wake you up by The Mars Volta. from the debut CD and a track called Eriatarka.  PLAY VERY LOUD!!! ROCK ON!!

Very great debut album - an excellent review from the Wire magazine when it came out and still sounds amazing now.

From the Rio-Evolution CD the track i have chosen is by the Xavier Fischer Trio and it is called "Follow Me".

From the Giles Peterson mix CD is this groove from Sun Ra, which i must admit  the track i have not heard of before, and is called Where There Is No Sun..

And finally from the Timbaland Cd purchased yesterday is this track Symphony  which i think is the best rack from a mediocre album. I much prefer the work he did for Missy Elliott

Your son is cool - Sun Ra is one of my favourite jazz guys. Has your son seen the film Space is The Place?

His musical tastes are very surprising. And he is a good musician. Plays drums (mainly swing) but also composes beautiful pieces on keyboard and guitar - these days with lyrics! And he has a beautiful baritone voice.

I'll ask him if he has seen that film next time I see him.
