Thanks for the wishes! I am now listening to disc #2 of the excellent Chris Barber & His Jazz Band set that you bought me. Favourite track: 'Moonshine Man (live)' with vocals provided by the divine Ottilie Patterson. The sound quality on this set is quite astonishing given that it was recorded in 1958! The book you found for me is a sheer delight: "Around Historic Kent" by Malcolm John, in beautiful condition given that it was published in 1978. I have already dipped into it quite a bit.
