On this very hot day i traveled over to Whitstable to do another charity shop visit. Picked up some books, and a literary game  for my five pound shop. These are -

Masters of Time: How Wormholes, Snakewood…The Tiger in the Well: A Sally Lockhart…The Subtle Knife (His Dark Materials, Book…

That first book is called "Masters Of Time" , a cosmology book on black holes, wormholes, twisters, string theory, and the mysterious fifth force of dark energy.

The card game Ex Libris looks fun and needs 2 to 4 players. It comes with a note pad as well for players to jot down their guesses to each first line or last words.

Whilst in Whitstable i visited The Peter Cushing, a classic art deco theatre which is now a pub and tried another cider in the on-going festival.

It is decked out with posters and photographs of the horror movie actor which this pub is named after.
I then spent the rest of the day lounging about in this splendid sunshine topping up my tan.

It's named for Peter Cushing because he lived for many years in Whitstable. I remember running into him several times in one of the local teashops where he was a regular when I was living there myself doing my MA at UKC..

Oh it is. One reads out the snippet , some paragraphs from a book on one side and the others have to write down on the note pad a possible beginning or ending to it, and the one person who gets the most votes or guesses the name of the book correctly wins. I had to look out for gift aided items as part of the brief and to male sure they are scanned as such when they are tilled up.

That is so cool that the old theater still has the original facade! And I love that the place is sort of a Christopher Lee museum.

The last picture made me very happy, as I cannot think of Whitstable, without a certain ditty coming to mind.
